Peeta...
Peeta plays the role in the Hunger Games as the "lover boy" who got selected from District 12 to go and fight for his life at the Hunger Games along with Katniss. He teachs us in the novel that eventhough he wasnt the 'number one' fighter and backed to win the hunger games under terrible circumstances in the arena, but by believing in his strengths and Katniss's strengths you can still have the determination to win if you try and be tactical, no matter what anyone else thinks your capable to achieve. "Only I keep wishing I could think of a way to…to show the Capitol they don’t own me. That I’m more than just a piece in their Games”. We are taught about sacrife and how Peeta sacrifecs for his love, and that through love you can make extreme decisions. This is shown when Peeta would die if it meant that Katniss survived.
1. How characters are created.
Peetas character is created in literature by:
-The use of dialouge- The words and dialouge that Peeta uses can show his emotions and behaviours. It can teach us about Peetas relationships and his attitude towards other characters. From Peetas dialouge it teaches all of this which helps us creat an image about his character.
-How the narrator describes Peeta- this is by the narrator using words like "bread" and "I dont want to lose the boy with the bread." Peeta is know as the boy with the bread, which gives us a sense of his character that he isn't very important where he lives, also that his family owns a bakery.
-What Peetas actions are: at the start he did actions that showed his kindness and caring personality "The boy took one look back at the bakery as if checking that the coast was clear, his attention back on the pig, he threw the bread in my direction." this quote is showing his kindness as he risked getting caught for giving away the bread but gave the bread to someone who was in need and desperately needed it. Then as the story went on we Peetas character was created by his action of that he was now a fierce character that he had to kill other humans to stay alive.
-The words used to describe his apperance- "medium height, stocky built, ashy blond hair that falls in waves over his forehead." when we are told what Peeta looks like it forms a picture in our head so we get a sense of his apperance and style.

The importance of Peetas choices, personality, and relationships
A huge choice Peeta makes in the novel is announcing his crush on Katniss to hundreds of people. This desicion is important as now everyone knows his feelings so it forms a relationship between Katniss and Peeta, this makes the games more interesting as it is romantic."Well there is this one girl. Ive had a crush on her since i can remember. But im pretty sure she didn't know i was alive until the reaping." Because of this relationship it is important as it makes them get more sponsers during the games, this is because it makes the audience more interested in the love story at the Hunger Games so they can get gifts from sponsers that helps them survive. "Peetas lends down and kisses me once, very gently."
